The Secret Life Of Parkwood (Shhhh… Only seen by kids!)

The Secret Life Of Parkwood Map- a children's guide to the Parkwood wood area

Take a look at our this exciting map, called ‘The Secret Life Of Parkwood’. Co-created by and with Year 3 pupils from Parkwood Primary, this map is their version of the woods, full of imagination and wonderful story-telling.

The school group visited the woods 3 times and followed the trail, learning about the history and heritage of the woods with support from Friends Of Parkwood. Then, the pupils came up with their landmarks for an update trail!

Working with the Friends of Park Wood, Keighley Creative, PhotoHub North and Word Up North this project explored the woods creatively, discovered the nature and the stories and folklore the woods hold using arts, storytelling and photography.

Big thanks to illustrator Nicola Storr, Parkwood Primary School, Friends of Parkwood and Word Up North.
