This is Keighley Creative

The home of creative arts in Keighley. We're changing our town, one paintbrush, one pencil, and one idea at a time.

What we do

Keighley Creative is an Arts Centre and Studio Space at the heart of the town, co-creating exciting projects and fun activities with local artists, communities, organisations and businesses in the heart of West Yorkshire.

We work together to make sure that what local people want, when it comes to creativity, culture and community, can become a reality for everyone in Keighley and beyond.

We are Keighley’s visual arts organisation and we wouldn’t exist without the support of our town. We work hard to foster an arts programme for Keighley. We want to make our town a vibrant place to visit, work and live in.

Residents in Keighley have a say about what services we provide, and we work hard to bring these ideas to life. This is how our studios, events programme, gallery, and projects have been built up, and we’re adding in new community requests all the time – like our recent addition, the Stockroom Cinema and Performance Space. It’s a collaboration. We’re in this together, so tell us what you want to make happen- we’re listening, we’re practical, and we’re imaginative. It’s a great combination!

You can help us to realise this mission of art for all in Keighley by making a small donation or becoming an event sponsor. Every penny makes a difference in delivering our mission.

Arts for Brain Health

Our brains are amazing. They are made up of around 86 billion nerve cells, and there are literally trillions of connections between these nerve cells which are constantly sending and receiving chemical and electrical messages. These messages control everything we do, helping us to think, feel, move, plan, learn, see, hear, smell, and solve problems, they affect our moods, our emotions, levels of energy, motivation and much, much more. The more we stimulate our brains, the more nerve connections we make and the better our brains work. Making art is fun but it’s also a workout for our brains!

How Rombald’s Rocks Began?
How Rombald’s Rocks Began?

Rombald’s Rocks: Keighley Sculpture Trail is a project created and implemented by artist, Leonie Briggs, and ourselves, Keighley Creative. It is the brainchild of Leonie who thought Keighley deserved it’s own sculpture trail and she wanted to create a community art project that involved local people and would bring something positive to town.
