Free henna and mehndi on offer as part of women’s event

We are excited to announce that the Eden Community Association of Keighley are offering free henna and mehndi.

At the WOW Girls Festival event on Sunday 3rd March, we are pleased to be welcoming a team of highly skilled artists from Keighley’s Desi/South Asian community.

Eden Community Association mehndi

Henna or mehndi has its origins in North Africa, the Middle East and South Asia and is traditionally a key part of Desi weddings and celebratory events where henna is used to create body art that highlights happiness.

Mehndi is a form of art and culture that is enjoyed by many and something that different communities can enjoy together making it the perfect activity for a Women of the World event.

The team will be offering free henna to visitors from 12 noon till 4pm from our premises on Cooke Lane.

No need to book, just turn up, but bear in mind there might be a queue.
