New Chair of Trustees Sought

Keighley Creative is about to enter an exciting but demanding new stage in our evolution as one of the major creative ventures locally and in the wider region.

We have secured significant funding of around £2.8m to purchase, refurbish and equip a new creative hub based in the centre of Keighley and support the expansion of the Keighley
Arts and Film Festival as well as our other creative ventures.

There are also major opportunities that have recently been confirmed to extend our partnership working with bodies such as our District and Town Councils, the local Further Education college and Channel 4 as well as many local community and statutory organisations. We are also actively involved in Bradford’s bid for the UK City of Culture 2025.

We are now seeking a new Chair to drive forward the organisation at what is a crucial stage in our development. Working with our strong team of Trustees, freelance creatives, and volunteers the ideal person will have significant leadership experience of taking major initiatives forward at Board level.

You will also need to share our values and passion for our Town and its people, and the opportunities a major creative organisation will bring.

Keighley is a diverse town, and we encourage applications from people with diverse personal and professional backgrounds although a strong commitment to the arts, culture and creativity is important too.

Please contact Fiona Sherburn on Fiona.sherburn@btinternet.comfor a job description and person specification.

For an informal discussion about the role and to learn more about this exciting opportunity please contact the Vice Chair Georgina Webster (07484 64406) or Fiona Sherburn (09854 909906).
