Join us to defeat the winter blues this January with this free, family-fun event and celebrate all that is brilliant about Keighley and its people.
For the past two months Keighley Creative’s team has been out and about delivering I Am Brill workshops to lots of different community groups around Keighley. At the workshops, local children have been making pom-poms and creating their own unique “clover” sticks, inspired by Dr Seuss. Now it’s time for the final celebration!
Meet with us at the beautiful Victoria Hall (next to The Leisure Centre) in Keighley on Friday 12th January 2024, 4.30pm till 6.30pm for the party of the year. Dress up in something neon, sparkly or “brilliant” and be ready to dance and be entertained.
Don’t forget to bring your handmade illuminated clover sticks or pom-poms (should you have been lucky enough to attend a workshop). Battery packs to switch on your neon wonders will be available at the event so we can all ‘wow’ in glorious tandem together on the night.
For those children that haven’t had an opportunity to make a clover disco stick yet, more I Am Brill workshops are still to be held; these will be the week before the disco inside the Airedale Centre and during the event itself. Keep an eye on our website, follow the Keighley Creative Facebook page or email admin@keighleycreative.org for more details on the remaining I Am Brill workshops.
We’ve ordered the snow in especially and, as well as making our own fun, we will have performances from Punjabi Roots, local dance troops, stilt walkers, DJs, games and much, much more.
Don’t know what we are on about?! Don’t worry all will become clear on the night!
Please be aware this is a no-alcohol family event but there will be affordable refreshments available to purchase and some Dr Seuss themed snacks so bring some pennies if you can.
This is a free event but we still need to control numbers so everyone needs to register and obtain tickets on Eventbrite (see link below) or entry will be refused. Ticket numbers are limited so make sure you get yours now and only get them if you are sure you will attend.
All children MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult and adults need tickets too. Child advisory age is 5 to 12 years but all are welcome.
Maximum 4 tickets per person.
See you there in all your brilliance!
