“In Autumn 2021 something magical will happen in Keighley. Old myths will come to life, no-one is quite sure where they came from but they are coming! Three mystical apparitions will tell their stories of old .”

The old questions will intrigue again as the spectacle of these three contemporary mythical beasts will unfold, brought to life by Cecil Green Arts live at Cliffe Castle Park. 

Join us on Friday from 6.30pm as we announce the start of our illuminated programme with a live performance from Drum Machine – an all drum, all energy collective based here in West Yorkshire. Come Listen, tap your feet, move your body, dance along and join in to their addictive beats.

 The giant illuminated mythical beast puppets will be performing two shows in different areas of the park. 

“The ethereal Cottingley Faeries will be seen fleetingly around the area but only to the believers, specifically children, through a shadow show they will bring their story to life with a contemporary twist.”

Venture in the park grounds at 7.20pm and you’ll be able to witness the very first outing of Rombald, The Legendary Stone Giant, this performance will be repeated at 8pm.

“Rombald, the legendary stone giant, will roam Keighley, his individual boulderous limbs coming together to bring a different dimension as he pounds through the park, having come down from the surrounding moors.”

Both shows will be performed at the same time in different parts of the park, but they will each perform twice so it will be possible to catch both shows along with Drum Machine. Stewards will direct you to each area so you don’t miss anything …a spectacular evening for everyone!

The park will be dark in places so please try and bring a torch. Park café open for hot drinks, take-away food.
