You Are Standing in History

A story about Keighley, written by Letty McHugh and illustrated by Leanne Parkin spanning two of the galleries large windows. It can be seen until the end of February 2021.

“For this exhibition I wanted to write something that would encourage people to pause and think about Keighley’s rich and fascinating past.

I am an artist and writer who has lived in the Worth Valley for most of my life. My work is inspired by the universality of personal experience, which is the art world way of saying I’m interested in personal stories and the things we have in common. In 2019 I spoke at the Tate Exchange, London and I’m currently an Associate Artist with Disability Arts Online. I once narrowly missed out on a space hopper related world record attempt and I’ve never fully recovered!”
