Sew Keighley Pride Textile People Workshops

Join us for a workshop led by Morwenna Catt, to make a textile person for the green stripe on our Pride Flag to be launched this August!

About this event

Led by our artistic director Morwenna Catt, she’ll guide you through techniques to bring your person to life!

All materials will be provided and all levels of crafters are welcome. You’ll learn lots of new techniques to use in your own textile projects.

Here’s the eventbrite for the workshops in June if you would like to join in:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sew-keighley-pride-textile-people-workshop-at-keighley-creative-tickets-156864155913

You can make your person in lots of different ways- sew together using hand stitching or on a sewing machine, using bondaweb or fabric glue to stick, using fabric pens to decorate, embellishing with embriodery thread, beads or buttons. Make your person unique!

We’ll be working at Keighely Creative on Hanover Street. There is plenty of space to keep people safe as we move back into the real world from lockdown. You’ll be asked for track and trace information either through the app or using our registation system.

There are a limited amount of tickets per workshop so if you need to contact us to change dates or cancel please email sophie@iclseducation.org to allow people on the waiting list to attend.
