On Saturday 7th December, Keighley Town Council have arranged a special event marking the 100 year anniversary of the town’s cenotaph which was unveiled on this day in 1924.
The event will start at 12 noon and will include a short service with lots of free information and activities to take part in including a workshop organised by Keighley Creative.
Local illustrator, Emily Parkin, has created a special wreath for the event and will be inviting local people, both young and old, to add their names to the wreath to record everyone that attended the event and to recognise the importance of the cenotaph in remembering the fallen.
The event will run from 12pm till 3pm on Saturday 7th December 2024 at Keighley Cenotaph on Town Hall Square. Everyone welcome!
